Free Wi-Fi Scanner tool
Are you interested to know more about your Wi-Fi network? There is a free aplicatuion called inSSIDer which lets you scan Wi-Fi networks around you, it provides an excellent series of diagnostic and statistical tools for those who want to get more from their Wi-Fi networks. This is an open-source Wi-Fi network scanner designed for the current generation of Windows operating systems. Often the most useful aspect of inSSIDer is the way it detects other networks, that your neighbors may be using. There can be many more than you think, and if these are using the same channels as your network, then you’ll be fighting over the available bandwidth and slowing each other down. Check this out!
